Please explore the "Parent" pull down menu items above. You'll get the most up-to-date information to help guide your child through the often confusing College Planning, Preparation and Selection Process.
Preparing your child for college can be a challenging task. There are so many new things to explore and new requirements since us parents have gone to college. NCRF/The College Expo tries to help you in this process by providing you with as many resources available to help your child succeed. In some cases, you may want to think of it as another job (smile).
Make sure your child chooses college based on their field of major and not just on the so-called “popular” college. It is a good idea to choose at least 6 to 8 colleges to apply. One very good source to help you look for the college that best suit your student’s interest is the college navigation site http://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator. This will help you select colleges that are great matches for your student’s major.

Institutions and/or programs that request an agency's evaluation and that meet an agency's criteria are then "accredited" by that agency.

Guide Them To Reach There GoalsIf you are a parent you may have a son or daughter who is trying to decide what they want to do with the rest of their life. It is never too early to have a goal setting discussion with your teenager. You can start by having them write down a list of their gifts and talents. Meeting with their high school counselor may help you to identify the best postsecondary education for your son or daughter.
